Hello everyone! It is that time again...Julius Lott Youth for Unity Day!

While I was in the planning process for this year, it was easy to just reuse what I did last year, but I thought "Hey, let's not get stagnant here..."
After all, the purpose of a program like this is to adapt with the time, embrace change, and educate our members differently. So, I have begun a new tradition for this event.
Each year, the theme will be different and the activities will be representative of the theme!
2016: Cultural Awareness
2017: Together We're Stronger
(Caveat: At my current Club, we serve K-5 so our activity ideas reflect that age group.)
You will notice that from 3:40pm-4:00pm, I have our staff coming up with their own activity. This activity has to be turned in prior to the event for approval. This is just to ensure the activity lines up with your Club's mission and is sensitive to all members.
I think is so important to enable staff members and the challenge their way of programming. Also, giving staff the opportunity to take ownership of the event is empowering.
